About Alicia

I am the lead researcher for the PROGROUP-Online study. My work spans stakeholder engagement, study protocol development, governance processes, and the design of complex behavioural interventions. Within this role, I am leading the development of an intervention for people living with severe obesity, with a strong focus on understanding and responding to the real-world context in which people live, as well as the challenges faced by health services.

I have a quantitative research background, with experience in behavioural analysis and the use of event logging software to explore patterns of behaviour. I also have experience working collaboratively across teams both within and between universities, supporting multidisciplinary research delivery. As part of PROGROUP-Online, I lead the Photovoice component, enabling participants to share their lived experiences in meaningful and visual ways. I take an empathetic and thoughtful approach to my work, valuing inclusive engagement and ensuring that research is both rigorous and responsive to the needs of those it aims to support.
